"Leaping into the Golden Wild"
What I like to call my best photo… For a long time I could never decide on a “Best” photo, but when I had this encounter that beautiful evening, things slightly changed. I was out with my camera on a quiet evening, full sun and beautiful golden light. I was heading home after a very quiet outing, after not getting any photos. I spotted a deer in the distance so I started to head in that direction, it walked down this pathway in between two fields, so I quietly followed it, until I heard a rustle in the field on my left. And then I saw it.. a badger, only my second time encountering one, I quickly got low to the ground and my camera shot up and pointed in it’s direction. Until… it ran straight towards me. As I was bursting photos on my camera with it running straight towards me, my heart was thumbing out of my chest, and I ended up being the most shocked I have ever been. I go by the saying “Wildlife always rewards you.” and it’s moments like these that really recite that in my heart.
